Libertin-Etnic presents visitors with a unique opportunity in Malta. From the luxury of a rental apartment, one sits inside but still feels connected to the Grand Harbour – a one-of-a-kind view that is one of the area’s main attractions.
Besides the front of the building, we also transformed the back façade of the house into a permeable line that connects the building’s internal space with the greenery thriving in the back yard.
The interior of the building is intentionally simple. We have sprinkled touches of traditional hues and materials, basic geometric floor patterns and timber furniture throughout the space but the background is neutral. This choice offsets the splash of decorative colour we introduced that imbues the design with a memorable identity.
